Owls Split Weekend with 3-0 Victory Over Northwest Christian

EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon Tech's Miranda Weitz and Megan Christensen combined for 21 of the Owls' 38 kills tonight, helping the Oregon Tech volleyball team to a three-set win over Northwest Christian in Eugene 25-19, 25-23, 26-24. Oregon Tech moves to 3-5 in Cascade Conference play and 4-13 overall.
Oregon Tech (4-13, 3-5 CCC) was led by Miranda Weitz who hit at a .455 clip with a team-high 11 kills, while outside hitter Megan Christensen added 10 kills and 18 digs in the Owl win. Setter Sarah Svedin finished the night with 22 assists and four service aces. Mikayla Morgan and Christine Bansen helped the Owl cause combining for 11 kills. Jackie Polette and Bansen added four digs each, while Porsha Ellison and Weitz came away with three block assists apiece.
Oregon Tech will return to action on Friday, October 2nd when arch rival Southern Oregon University heads to Klamath Falls. Match time will begin at 7 pm, as the Owls will look to avenge a non-conference loss to the Raiders earlier this season.
