Late Goal Defeats Oregon Tech 1-0

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Eastern Oregon netted a penalty kick late in today's Cascade Collegiate Conference match to defeat Oregon Tech 1-0 today at Trevor Derrah Field in Klamath Falls.

The Owls held an 11-4 shot advantage, but came up empty on the afternoon. Tech also had nine corner kicks to only three for EOU but still could not convert.

After a 0-0 halftime score, Oregon Tech was whistled for a foul in the 74th minute of play. EOU's Kahla Minter would then connect for the games only score on the penalty kick, and the Mountaineer defense would hold steady to help secure the 1-0 victory.

Oregon Tech drops to 8-2 overall and even at 1-1 in conference play with the loss. EOU remains perfect at 3-0 in CCC action and improves to 3-4 on the year.

Oregon will entertain College of Idaho tomorrow at 4 pm.
