Yotes Drop Hooter 4-1

CALWELL, ID – College of Idaho scored 3 goals in the first 33 minutes of play then held on to knock off the Lady Owls Friday afternoon on Simplot Field at College of Idaho. Oregon Tech slips to 7-5 on the season and 2-2 in the CCC. The Yotes move up to 4-1 in the CCC and 7-5 on the year.
Erika Mouritsen scored the first of her 2 goals in the 10th minute when she took a long pass down the sideline from Chelsea Heffner and scored. The pass from Heffner was the first of 3 assists she would have on the day for C of I.
In the 25th minune Mouritsen and Heffner would hook up again as Mouritsen scored off a great pass into the lower left corner of the OIT goal to make it 2-0 Yotes.
Heffner delivered her 3rd and final assist when she found Macy Egerman in front of the Tech goal to make it 3-0 College of Idaho.
Tech would break through the tough C of I defense in the 60th minute as Kaila Dillon blasted a shot from 30-yards away over the goalkeeper to make it 3-1.
The Yotes would slam the door on any Owl comeback when Kelly Hardegree-Ullmman scored on a header after a perfect corner kick from Macy Egerman to make a 4-1 final.
Oregon Tech will next head over to La Grande for a 2:00pm Saturday kickoff against Eastern Oregon University.
