Foster’s Hat Trick Lifts Tech Past Geoduck 6-0

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –.Crystal Foster score two goals in the first 17 minutes of play to lead Oregon Tech past Evergreen State 6-0 Friday afternoon on Trevor Derrah Field at Steen Sports Park. Oregon Tech moves to 8-6 on the season at 3-3 in Conference play with the win. Evergreen State falls to 0-9-1 on the season and 0-6 in Conference play.
Foster scored her first of three goals in the 11th minute as she took a cross from teammate Adrienne Busch and chipped in her shot past the Geoduck Keeper. Just 6 minutes later Foster scored from 25 yards out on bullet into the upper right of the net.
Andrea Perez then put Tech up 3-0 when she dribbled down the sideline past a defender and then scored past the Keeper in the 30th minute.
Foster picked up her third goal of the game as she took a cross and shot from 20 yards out, the ball deflected off the inside of the post for the goal.
Perez scored her second goal on the day when she hit a header off a perfect corner kick from Rebekah Nisbet in the 78th minute.
Tech’s Becky Olson scored her first goal of the year in the 86th minute when she put back a shot off the foot of Sharon Hernandez that had hit the post to put Tech up 6-0.
The Hustlin’ Owls out-shot the Geoduck 34-5 and also had a 17-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Things get a lot tougher for Oregon Tech as they host Northwest University (6-2-4, 3-1-2) Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm on senior day at Steen Sports Park.
