Oregon Tech Sweeps Geoducks in Season Finale

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Oregon Tech volleyball team closed out the 2010 season with a sweep over The Evergreen State College 25-18, 25-13, 25-16 tonight at Danny Miles Court.  Tech finishes the year with a 12-18 overall mark and a seventh place finish in the conference standings at 4-14.

 

Both Owl seniors, who were honored tonight prior to the match, closed out their four year collegiate careers on a high note combining for 14 kills to lead Oregon Tech to victory.  Mikayla Morgan finished the night with a match-high eight kills and five block assists, while Megan Christensen added six kills, four block assists and picked up a solo block.  Tech libero Marie Baumann tied for game-high honors in digs with 10.

 

Jazzmin Garcia led TESC with seven kills, followed by Caitlin Swift with five.  Chantal Petkus finished with 10 digs in the loss.
