Raider's Down Red Hawk's 74-63

(KLAMATH FALLS, OR)The Southern Oregon University men’s basketball team won its third game in a row downing Simpson University 74-63 in the third game of the Midland Empire / Ohio Casualty Insurance Classic at Danny Miles Court. With the win SOU improves to 3-3 on the season while the Red Hawk’s fall to 0-5.

Simpson shot the ball well in the first half making 14 of 32 shots but still trailed at the half 40-31. The largest lead of the night for Southern Oregon was 14 with Simpson trimming that lead down to 7 points several times in the second half but could not get any closer winning 74-63.

Ryon Pool led SOU with a double, double, pulling in 13 rebounds and scoring 20 points. Trenton Fraser chipped in 15 points making 6 of 9 from the floor. Simpson was led in scoring by Markise Morrison and Ian McBride tallying 15 and 12 points respectively.
