Cal-Maritime Downs Tech 68-57
(Rocklin, Calif.) Playing in the championship game of the Bill Holtz Classic on the campus of William Jessup University Saturday afternoon, the Oregon Tech Hustlin’ Owls lost for the first time this season 68-57 falling to 3-1. The keelhaulers improve to 4-1 with the win.
Cal Maritime had a 33-28 lead at the break as Kevin Campbell scored 14 of his game high 26 in the first half.
For the game Oregon Tech shot just 29% from the floor making 16 of 55 and was only 3 of 16 from long range. Tech also shot a season low at the foul line converting only 11 of 17.
Bobby Hunter led Oregon Tech with 15 points with Scotty Riddle adding 11 points.
Tech did win the battle of the boards 42-40 led by Jason Gamblin who had 9.
Oregon Tech will play at Simpson University in Redding, California Tuesday night at 7:30 pm.
