Tech’s Minor Finishes 103rd at NAIA National Meet

FORT VANCOUVER, Wash. – Scott Minor, the first Owl to run in the NAIA national championships in three years, finished 103rd overall Saturday at the Fort Vancouver National Monument.

Minor finished the 8K course in 25 minutes, 47 seconds competing against 312 other racers on the national front.

Individual winner was Kennedy Kithuka of Wayland Baptist in 23:15.  Greg Montgomery of College of Idaho was the top Cascade Conference performer, finishing 7th overall in the men’s race in 24:17, while Eastern Oregon standout Karlee Coffee placed 3rd overall in the women’s 5K in 17:42.

Oklahoma Christian University won the men’s team title with 93 points, while Cal State San Marcos won their third-straight women's team title, this year with 82 points.  Defending men’s National Champion, Southern Oregon University, placed 3rd overall with the Northwest Christian University women placing 4th nationally.
