LEWISTON, Idaho – Jessilyn Conicelli recorded her second straight double-double of the tournament to help 13th ranked Biola defeat Oregon Tech 78-48 in the Greg Jose/Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic at the Lewis-Clark State College Activity Center on Saturday.

The contest was tied at 18 with 5:31 left in the first half when Biola went on a 13-4 run for a 31-22 halftime advantage. Oregon Tech could not find an answer to begin the second stanza, as an Eagle 12-4 run in the first six minutes lifted Biola to a 45-26 lead. Oregon Tech cut the margin to 43-31, but then went scoreless for more than six minutes as the Eagles scored 13 straight points and move out to a 56-31 advantage.  Biola outscored the Owls 34-17 over the final 13 minutes, winning by a 78-48 final.

Crissy Watts had 10 points to lead the Owls, including 2-of-5 from the 3-point line.  Morgan Hofman added nine points to go with six rebounds and four assists, while Brittany Cherry and Colleen Hunt contributed eight points each.  Cherry grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in the loss.

Conicelli had game-high 14 points and 16 rebounds to lift Biola to 4-1 on the season, and help the Eagles bounce back from a 61-52 loss to No. 11-ranked Lewis-Clark State on Friday.  Jamie Elias and Jennifer French also were in double figures scoring for Biola with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Oregon Tech drops to 3-4 on the year and will look to stop a three-game losing skid on Tuesday versus Simpson University in Redding, Calif.
