Klamath Falls, Ore - Oregon Tech got a career high 20 points from Mike Nieraeth as the Hustlin' Owls downed the Bendigo Braves of Australia in an exhibition game at Danny Miles Court.

The two teams battled with three lead changes in the first half with Oregon Tech taking the biggest lead at 33-27 with 4:15 left. Bendigo however went on a 5-0 run and held Tech without a field goal over the final 4 minutes to pull within one point at 35-34 as the teams went to the locker room at the half.

Oregon Tech opened up the second half with a 9-0 run to take a 10 point lead at 44-34. Oregon Tech took its largest lead of the night at 65-50 on a Mike Nieraeth three pointer with 8 minutes to play. Bendigo would not let Oregon Tech pull away as they kept things close behind a game high 21 points from Chris Novak who also grabbed 12 rebounds. Oregon Tech was led by Mike Nieraeth who had 20 points on 7-9 shooting including 4-5 from long distance. Tech had three other players in double figures with 18 points from Justin Parnell, 13 from Jguwon Hogges and 10 points and 10 rebounds from Josh Wetzler.

The two teams will play again Tuesday night December 2, 2008 at 7:30pm at Danny Miles Court in exhibition play. Oregon Tech men and women will open Cascade Collegiate Conference play at home this Friday and Saturday against College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon respectively. Tip off will be 5:30pm for the women and 7:30pm for the men both nights.
