Seven Student-Athletes Earn NAIA Scholar Award for Owls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Seven Oregon Tech student-athletes in the fall sports of women’s soccer, cross country and volleyball have earned the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Award for their performances on the field of play and in the classroom, the NAIA office announced today.
To earn recognition as a NAIA Scholar Athlete, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and a junior in class standing.
2010 honorees include:

Sharon Hernandez Jacksonville, Ore. Sr. Women's Soccer Medical Imaging
Brooke Cole Portland, Ore. Jr. Women’s Soccer Medical Imaging
Jackie Polette Helena, Mont. Jr. Volleyball Medical Imaging
Statia Smith Medford, Ore. Sr. Cross Country Management
Lori Carter Central Point, Ore. Sr. Cross Country Vascular Ultrasound
