Oregon Tech Second Half Outburst Secures Win Over Willamette

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech used a 16-0 second half run and held visiting Willamette University to just four points over the last seven minutes of play to secure a 77-57 non-conference victory tonight at Danny Miles Court.

The Lady Owls move to 11-1 overall and will resume Cascade Conference action this Friday at College of Idaho and Saturday versus Eastern Oregon University.

Aundrea Albright recorded the games only double-double finishing with a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Karissa Dixon was a rebound shy of a double-double after a 13 point, four assists and nine rebound effort.  Carrie Thibault added 10 points with Morgan Hofman netting eight points and handing out five assists in the win for Tech.

For the Bearcats Rebecca Josephson and Katelyn Nordlien came away with a team-high 10 points and combined for 10 rebounds.  Kaileigh Westermann added eight points and Maya McFaddin seven in the loss for Willamette.

Shooting just 38% at the half, Oregon Tech finished at 43% for the game (28-for-65).  Willamette shot 46% in the first half, but Tech would hold the visitors to 9-of-36 shooting in the second stanza, including 1-for-11 from long distance and 34% overall.  Tech held a 56-36 advantage on the boards, including 25 from the offensive end.
