KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Oregon Tech Lady Owls avenged an earlier loss this season, taking down William Jessup University by a final of 73-59 in the final game of the Oregon Tech Classic tonight at Danny Miles Court.
Oregon Tech ups their overall mark to 7-6 with the win, while William Jessup drops to 4-9 on the season.
A Nicole Morgan steal that led to a Lisa Busch layup doubled the score over WJU, 18-9, midway through the first half.
The teams battled back-and-forth over the next five minutes. The Owls then took their first double digit lead with three minutes remaining in the first period on a Jazzy McDaniel layup from a nice feed from Kelsey New to make it 32-22.

WJU would inch back during the first part of the second half, when a Cassie Davidson 3-pointer with 11:05 to play cut the WJU deficit to just nine points, 53-44.
It did not take long for the Owls to respond, as Tech bumped the lead to 59-44 on a Jazzy McDaniel jumper. An ensuing technical foul, which Kelsey New would hit both free throws, and a trey from Kellie Morey gave the Owls a 64-44 advantage.
The Owls would lead by as many as 21 before Oregon Tech closed with a 73-59 win.
Four Owls finished in double figures, led by a double-double 14 point and 13 rebound effort from Brittany Cherry. Aundrea Albright added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Lisa Busch and Nicole Morgan netted 10 each in the win. Morgan also finished with a game-high nine assists.
