Lady Owls Just Outside the Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Oregon Tech women’s basketball team, off to the best start in program history at 11-1, received votes in the NAIA Top-25 announced Monday by the national office.
The Lady Owls went 2-0 this past week with wins over Pacific Union and NCAA DIII Willamette University. The Owls received 56 points in the poll just missing the top 25 at No. 27.
Eastern Oregon (9-1, 2-0 Cascade Collegiate Conference) moved from No. 10 to No. 9 to lead the CCC in the ranking, while Corban University went from receiving votes to No. 22, two weeks ago Corban was ranked at No. 12 in the poll. Warner Pacific went from No. 24 to receiving votes (6) after dropping 3 of its last 5 games.
Indiana Wesleyan is a unanimous No. 1 for a third-straight week. The Wildcats gained all 14 first-place votes and 374 points in the poll. Indiana Wesleyan is off to a 11-0 start, including a 3-0 Mid-Central College Conference (MCCC) mark. No. 2 College of the Ozarks (Mo.) moves up 2 spots from No. 4 with 355 points, while Briar Cliff (Iowa) slips from No. 2 to No. 3.
The Lady Owls will resume CCC action at College of Idaho on Friday, December 16th in Caldwell and at No. 9 Eastern Oregon Saturday, December 17th in La Grande.
