Oregon Tech Women’s Basketball, Dubbed ‘CCC Team of the Week’ Honors

PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Tech’s women’s basketball team and Southern Oregon’s men’s basketball team both posted 2-0 records last week to share the CCC Verizon Team of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday.

The Hustlin’ Owls defeated Pacific Union (Calif.) and Willamette to run their win streak to seven straight. Now 11-1 on the season, OIT doubled up Pacific Union 68-34 and followed with a 20-point victory over Willamette.

Southern Oregon, meanwhile, improved to 9-4 with a pair of hard-fought non-conference road victories in northern California. The Raiders defeated Holy Names (Calif.) 75-73 on Saturday, then turned around and beat Cal Maritime 75-69 on
