(Caldwell, Idaho) - Tenacious first half defensive effort by The College of Idaho led the Lady Yotes to a convincing 68-42 victory over Oregon Tech, tonight inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
The Coyotes (7-5, 2-1 CCC) held OIT to 4-of-24 shooting in the opening half, forcing 14 Owls’ turnovers, as The C of I built a 35-11 halftime edge and cruised – leading by as many as 39 points in the win.
Laura Geis had 19 points, on 9-of-13 shooting, to led the Yotes, with Felicity Jones adding 11, as The C of I held a 50-31 rebound edge.
OIT (11-2, 2-1) got 13 points off the bench by Kassi Conditt, but finished the night just 1-of-15 from three-point range.
The Lady Owls will try to rebound playing at No. 9 Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Ore. Pre-game starts at 5:15 pm on 960 KLAD-AM in Klamath Falls and at www.OITsports.com everywhere in the world.
