Tech's Bobby Hunter Scores 2 of his Game High 30 Points in 81-71 Win Over EOU
(La Grande, Ore.) – The Hustlin’ Owls of Oregon Tech improved to 14-1 on the season and 4-0 in the Cascade Conference with an 81-71 win over No. 22 Eastern Oregon University Saturday night at Quinn Coliseum. Oregon Tech’s Bobby Hunter scored a career high 30 points as Eastern Oregon suffered its first home loss of the year falling to 2-2 in the CCC and 9-4 on the year.

Oregon Tech took a slim 44-41 lead at the break and then outscored the Mountaineers 37-30 over the final 20 minutes to win 81-71.

Besides Hunters 30 points Tech had 2 other players in double digits in scoring with Kyle Gomez scoring 17 along with grabbing a team high 6 rebounds, Bryant Sentman added 10 points for Tech in the win.

Eastern had 2 players with a double-doubles, as Anthony Brown had 14 points and snared a game high 15 rebounds with Ervin Felder scoring 10 points and chipping in 14 boards in the loss. EOU’s Jamar Johnson led the Mountaineers in scoring with 16.

Oregon Tech committed only 6 turnovers for the game while handing out 13 assists.

Oregon Tech Head Coach Danny Miles picked up win No. 951.

The Hustlin’ Owls will return to action December 29 as they play their first game on the new floor against Warner Pacific College tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Danny Miles Court.
