OIT Pulls Away For Easy Win Over Northwest University

KIRKLAND. WA The #2 ranked Hustlin Owls from Oregon Tech remained undefeated as they pulled away for an 80-57 victory tonight over Northwest University in Cascade Conference play.
Oregon Tech, with offensive execution and hot shooting (64.5%) pulled away gradually for a 51-31 halftime lead. OIT cooled down in the second half, shooting just 30.8% but held Northwest U. to 28% shooting for the half and 35.2% for the game. OIT won the battle on the boards, outrebounding Northwest U. 37-35.
OITs (14-0, 3-0 CCC) Ryan Fiegi led all scorers with 27 points with just one 3-pointer on the evening and was 6 for 7 from the free throw line. Danny Mills scored 16, Levell Hesia followed with 15 points, and Josh Garrett with 11 points for the game. Josh Wetzler had 11 rebounds on the night for thr Hustlin Owls.
Northwest University (11-4, 1-2 CCC) was led by Aaron Sawyer with a double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 13 rebounds for the Eagles. Kendrick Holley and Morgan Axton each scored 9 for NU.
