Kyles spent the 2010-11 season as a redshirt at Oregon Tech and added 20 pounds heading into the 2011-12 season. Prior to OIT Kyle averaged 13 points and grabbed 7.1 rebounds during his senior season at North Medford High School, earning Southwest Conference second-team all-league honors for the Tornado in 2009-10. Kyle is the son of Robert and Karol Waits and is a psychology major at OIT.
