Red Hawks Get Past Owls 3-1

(Redding, Calif.) – Simpson University took advantage of several early opportunities and held on to down Oregon Tech 3-1 Wednesday night at the Redding Soccer Complex. Oregon Tech Falls to 0-2-1 on the season and Simpson improves to 1-2-0 with the win.I

The Red Hawks scored on an indirect Kick and a Penalty Kick early in the first half then added a goal in the second half to lead 3-0.

Oregon Tech would get on the board in the 82nd minute as Ashton Betts Bent in a Corner Kick to make it a 3-1 game.

For the game Simpson out shot Tech 14-10 and held a slim lead in shots on goal at 9 to 7.

Oregon Tech will travel to Pacific University on Sunday, September 9th at 2:30 pm in Forrest Grove, Ore.
