KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Tied three times to start tonight’s non-conference men’s basketball game, Oregon Tech used a 17-2 run to pull away from New Hope Christian College on the way to an 86-62 win at Danny Miles Court.

With the second win over NHCC this season, Oregon Tech moves to 9-4 on the season and resumes Cascade Conference play this Friday versus College of Idaho and Saturday against second-ranked Eastern Oregon University.
A Mihajlo Matic 3-pointer, one of his four in the half, capped a 17-2 run and put the Owls up 25-10.
The Deacons drew to within six points, 28-22, but the Owls pushed their lead back to double figures, leading 43-29 at the half, as Tech’s Derek Evans scored as the buzzer sounded.
Keeping a double digit lead over the first four minutes of period 2, NHCC once again rallied and closed the gap to 51-45, using a 6-0 Deacon run.
Kyle Waits put Tech up 11 points, 60-49, at the midway point of the second half after a basket and free throw and the Owls continued to pull away eventually winning by an 86-62 final.
Josh Wiseman and David Clarke each scored 15 points with Mihajlo Matic adding 12 and Josh Johnson 11 points in the win for the Owls. Clarke nearly recorded a double-double as the senior handed out 9 assists. Dani Lopez grabbed a team-high 6 rebounds with Wiseman adding 4 caroms.
The Deacons’ Glyn Tarance recorded a double-double scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. Drew Wiley netted a game-high 19 points with Harley Turner finishing with 12 points for NHCC.
