KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Oregon Tech Head Coach Dan Miles announced recently the signing of three players to the Hustlin’ Owl men's basketball program for the upcoming 2013-2014 season.
Head Coach Danny Miles signed three recruits heading into the 2013-14 season.
2013 recruits include Sherman Simpson (Pasadena, Calif.), Onyekachi Nzerem (Boston, Mass.) and Tanner Manselle (Redmond, Ore.).
Manselle, a 6-5 freshman, played at Redmond High School earning all-league and All-State honors for the Panthers. Manselle averaged 19.5 points and 14 rebounds during his senior season, including a season-high 33 rebounds versus Crook County HS.
Nzerem, a 6-5 freshman, competed at New Mission High School in Boston where the First-Team All-City recipient led his team to back-to-back State Championships. Nzerem averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds for the Titans and heads to Oregon Tech after being heavily recruited by several NCAA I institutions.
Simpson, a 6-4 freshman, was two-time all-conference recipient from Blair High School in Pasadena. Simpson comes to Oregon Tech after averaging 20.1 points and 15.7 rebounds for the Vikings in his senior season.
Perennial powerhouse, Oregon Tech, has won three NAIA Division II National Championships (2004, 2008 and 2012) and holds the record for most wins at the national tournament (33). The Hustlin’ Owls opens up the 2013-14 season at home in an exhibition game versus University of Lethbridge of Canada with regular-season action beginning on Nov. 3rd versus Pacific Union College at Danny Miles Court.
