NAMPA, Idaho. – Oregon Tech had three players finish in the top 20, as the Owls’ men’s golf team finished in 4th place at this year’s 2014 Cascade Conference Championships, presented by U.S. Bank this afternoon at Ridgecrest Golf Club in Nampa.

Tyler Dearing was the top finisher for Tech with a three round total of 229 (76-74-79). Dalton Durrell shot the low round for the Owls on the final day with a 76, finishing with a three round total of 230 (76-78-76). Dearing finished eighth overall followed by Durrell in ninth. Kyle Dearing was 17th overall in a field of 30 with a (78-81-81) 240 total.
The top 3 individuals finished within one stroke, as NCU’s Tyler Falk won the event with a three round total of 219 (77-74-68), followed by Concordia’s Jesse Heinly’s 220 (74-75-71) and Corban University’s Jared Lambert with a total of 221 (72-72-77).
Concordia University earned the team title with a three round team score of 908 (309-305-294) followed by runner-up Northwest Christian University (310-305-303) with a 918. Three strokes behind NCU were the Corban University men (311-308-301), with the Tech men shooting 947 as a team (317-311-319).
Oregon Tech’s Alyssa Clements finished 10th overall with a three round total of 262 (85-88-89) while teammate Mallory Rose just seven strokes behind and with an 11th place overall finish and score of 269 (86-92-91). Stacee Halvorsen added a score of 313 (109-103-101) to close out the season for Tech.
Concordia University earned their sixth-straight team title, led by Sunny Powers, Jennifer Gibbons and Kelsey Whiles finishing 1-2-3 for the Cavaliers. Powers took individual honors with her three round score of 226 (78-74-74), 14 strokes ahead of teammate Gibbons and 18 in front of Whiles.
College of Idaho finished runner-up in the women’s team race with a 1044 (345-346-353), followed by Northwest Christian (1089) and Corban (1103). Oregon Tech failed to make the team standings with less than five golfers to score individually.
