Pairing Set for CCC Basketball Quarterfinal Action, Tickets Go on Sale Sunday

LA GRANDE, Ore. – After an exciting regular season, and final tournament seeding going down to the final night, the pairing for the 2013 Cascade Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships are finally set. The Women’s Basketball Championship tips-off Tuesday, while the men begin quarterfinal play on Wednesday.

The Lady Owls wrap up the third seed after earning a win over Corban on Saturday night. The Hustlin’ Owls finished the regular season at 20-8 and 13-5 in CCC play and will play host to six-seed Evergreen, who won the tiebreaker over Northwest Christian after posting a regular season conference record of 6-12. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tickets for CCC women’s basketball playoff game will be on sale from noon-5pm on Sunday and throughout the day on Monday. Tickets may also be purchased online at OITsports.com. Reserved seat holders have until Monday evening to keep their current seats with all seats being available for purchase Tuesday. Reserved seats $10, general admission $8, senior $5 and all students with ID $2.

After a 1-7 start to Cascade Conference play, the Oregon Tech men wrapped up CCC action with a 7-11 mark and a seven-seed heading into the postseason. The Hustlin’ Owls will travel throughout the playoffs with first round action taking place at second-seeded Eastern Oregon University on Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m. The Mountaineers finished CCC play with a 15-3 record.
