Menlo Pitching Quiets Owl Bats as Oaks Earn Sweep over Oregon Tech
ATHERTON, Calif. – The Oregon Tech bats were held silent, as Menlo College pitching limited the Owls to just five hits in a NAIA West doubleheader, as Tech fell 8-3 & 4-0 this afternoon in Atherton.
Game 1 – Trailing 8-0 in the opener, the Owls tallied three unearned runs in the eighth inning, but that would be it for the visitors. A bases loaded walk to Dylan Rogers pushed across the Owls’ first run, while Aaron Bocchi drove in two more on a single.
Bocchi finished 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI with Rogers recording a RBI in the opener.
Menlo starter Burke Seifert went seven innings allowing just three hits with four strikeouts and three unearned runs.
