Owls land Rex Putnam High all-conference outfielder

KLAMATH FALLS, Oregon - Head Oregon Tech softball coach, Greg Stewart, announced today that Danielle Sayres of Milwaukee, Ore. has signed a letter-of-intent to compete for the Owls next season.

 

Sayres, an outfielder at Rex Putnam High School, posted a .423 batting average over the past three seasons with the Kingsmen, while also stealing 35 bases, including a perfect 22-for-22 over her junior and senior seasons.  Sayres, competing in the 6A Three Rivers League, earned first-team all-conference honors in 2008, 2009 and 2010, was twice selected to the 6A All-State team and was named the Team MVP in both 2009 and 2010. 

 

Danielle is the daughter of Cory and Becky Sayres and plans to major in civil engineering at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
