Prior to Oregon Tech:

Sayres, an outfielder at Rex Putnam High School, posted a .423 batting average over the past three seasons with the Kingsmen, while also stealing 35 bases, including a perfect 22-for-22 over her junior and senior seasons.  Sayres, competing in the 6A Three Rivers League, earned first-team all-conference honors in 2008, 2009 and 2010, was twice selected to the 6A All-State team and was named the Team MVP in both 2009 and 2010.  An engineering major at Oregon Tech.
