02.06.2013

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech Head Women’s Volleyball Coach, Jason Corwin, announced recently that Jennifer Lakin of Honolulu, Hawaii has signed a letter-of-intent and will join the Owl volleyball program this fall.

Lakin, a 5-5 defensive specialist at Umpqua Community College the past two seasons, was a two-time 2nd Team All-League South selection, Academic All-American, and South Region Sophomore All-Star.  A graduate of Moanalua High School, Lakin was instrumental in leading the UCC Riverhawks to a 2nd place finish in the NWAACC South Region, as well as a 5th place finish at the 2012 NWAACC tournament this past season.

“Jennifer has a high volleyball intellect.” Corwin explains. “Her all around skills, passing and defensive presence will be a welcome addition to our program.  She possesses a very competitive spirit and a winning attitude.”

Jennifer is the daughter of John and Liane Lakin and plans to major in diagnostic medical sonography at Oregon Tech this fall.
