Oregon Tech Cruises by Northwest Christian, 79-60
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech never trailed in the game and the Hustlin’ Owls earned a berth into the postseason with a 79-60 victory over Northwest Christian University in Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s basketball action tonight at Danny Miles Court.

Oregon Tech improved their CCC mark to 6-11 and 15-14 overall. NCU fell to 9-20 overall and 3-14 in the conference standings and out of the playoff picture.
Jordan Kiely got the Owls off to a 2-0 lead to start the game and at the midway point of period 1 built a double digit lead after Kyle Waits connected from beyond the arch. Tech would go up by as many as 19 points in the opening half before back-to-back scores by Brody McGowan and Gio Guzman, with just seconds on the clock, sent the teams to intermission with the Owls on top 38-23.
Tech would hold on to a double digit lead throughout the second half with NCU getting as close 14 points, 47-33, with 16:04 to play. The Owls would pull away from that point, building a 72-45 advantage with 6:05 remaining on the way to the 79-60 victory.
Four Owls finished in double figures led by a 19 point effort by Kyle Waits. David Clarke added a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds to go with 4 assists and 3 steals. Mihajlo Matic tacked on 14 points followed by 11 points and 8 assists from Brandon Bautista.
Trevor Parker led NCU with a team-high 16 points with Jordan Buhler finishing with 9 points for the Beacons. Travis Pacos, Wyatt Taboh-Graziano and Brody McGowan added 7 points each in the loss.
Oregon Tech closes out regular-season action versus Corban University on Saturday, as the Owls will honor their three seniors prior to tomorrow’s last game of the year at Danny Miles Court.
