KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head softball coach Greg Stewart announced that Melissa Logan of Fairfield, Calif. has signed a NAIA National Letter-of-Intent and will join the Hustlin’ Owls this fall.
Logan, a junior college transfer from Solano Community College, finished with 30 victories during her two seasons in the circle for the Falcons, and was named Bay Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year for her efforts in both 2010 and 2011. Logan finished with a 15-3 mark this year, while recording 121 strikeouts in 111 innings.
A NFCA All-American in 2010 and two-time All-State selection at Solano CC, Logan batted .495, including 50 hits, 12 doubles and 34 RBI in 37 contests.
“Melissa will be a great addition to our program next year and will make an immediate impact for us in both the circle and in our line-up.” said Stewart. “Melissa led her team to consecutive conference championships at Solano, including an undefeated league record in this season.”
Logan plans on majoring in communication studies at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
