Summer Softball Camps Begin in August

The Oregon Tech softball team will be holding three separate camps this summer at the Softball Complex on the campus of Oregon Institute of Technology. The runs Aug. 20-22 from 9 a.m. – noon for those aged 6-11. The camp will cover the proper technique and mechanics of throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting. Days one and two will cover throwing, fielding, and defense, with day three covering hitting, slapping, and bunting. The cost of the camp is $80 and will group players according to age and/or ability. The second-session of the is for ages 12 and up and runs Aug. 20-22 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. This camp also covers all aspects of offense and defense and is $80.The runs Aug. 27-29 from 9 a.m. to noon and designed for all ages. Pitchers in this group must bring their own catcher. Camps, which also include a t-shirt, run $80 with a $20 total discount if a player is registered in more than one session.
