Lady Owls Sign Oakland Post

Michelle Cottier will join the women's basketball program.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- Oregon Tech Head Women’s Basketball Coach Scott Meredith announced recently the signing of Michelle Cottier, a 6-1 Post from Oakland High School in Oakland, Ore.

The three-sport athlete led OHS to a 16-5 overall mark in 2012, including a fourth place showing at last year’s Oregon State Tournament. Averaging 10 points and nine rebounds for the Oakers, Cottier earned first-team all-conference recognition as well as Second-Team All-State honors. Michelle is currently a red shirt freshman on the Oregon Tech volleyball team.

“Michelle is a very welcome addition to our program,” said Coach Meredith. “She is an outstanding rebounder, can finish in a variety of ways around the basket and immediately impressed us with her athleticism and feel for the game.”

Cottier is the daughter of Steve and Leann Cottier and plans to major in Biology beginning at Oregon Tech this fall.
