Lady Owls Clinch Playoff Spot with 2-1 Win

(CALDWELL, Idaho) - Rebekah Nisbet scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner with less than 10 minutes remaining, as Oregon Tech Clinches a playoff spot, defeating The College of Idaho, 2-1, at Simplot Stadium.
The Owls (7-5-2, 5-2-2 CCC) ended a four-match losing streak to the Lady Yotes (5-8-1, 4-5) with the win and will now wait for the outcome of Sunday’s Eastern Oregon-Southern Oregon game to see who they will play in round one of the CCC playoffs next Saturday. If Southern Oregon wins or ties Sunday, Oregon Tech would be the #4 Seed and play at Northwest and if Southern Oregon losses Sunday, Oregon Tech would be the #3 Seed and play at Concordia.
In the 81st minute, Nisbet corralled a loose ball outside the box in the left corner and bent a long shot off the right post and in to break a 1-1 tie.
The Lady Yotes scored just 19 seconds into the game on a Brianna Blair strike off a Kayla Bigelow assist, but Nisbet countered in the seventh minute, chipping a 30-yard shot into the net.
