GAME 7: Best of 9 Owls Series

The Gold squad slugged their way to a 14-4 win in game 7 of the Owls Series to take their third game of the series and extend the series at least one more game. The Gold strung together 6 singles in the 1^st inning to jump to 6-3 lead. This would prove to be enough offensive support for Chase Meister as he cruised to a complete game win on the mound, scattering 5 hits, striking out 6 and allowing only two earned runs.

Brent Hegdahl unloaded on a three run homerun in the third inning to extend the lead and a two run single by Spencer Reed highlighted another three run inning in the 4^th. Dylan Rogers led the Gold with 3 hits while Jared Nelson, Ethan Schlecht, Spencer Reed, Tyson Dahl and Brent Hegdahl all chipped in two hits on the afternoon. Aaron Bocchi was the only multi-hit player for the Black team as he hit safely in both his at-bats.

Game 8 will be played Friday afternoon at 4pm and game 9 (if necessary) will be played on Saturday at 11am.
