Oregon Tech Falls to Eastern in 4

La GRANDE, Ore. – Tied 1-1 after 2 sets, Eastern Oregon overpowered Oregon Tech the next two and earned a 3-1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-9, 25-20) win over the Owls tonight in Cascade Conference volleyball action.

Oregon Tech fell to 3-14 in conference play and 11-19 overall and will close out the 2012 season at No. 15 The College of Idaho Saturday.  Eastern Oregon moved to 21-6 on the season and 13-4 in the CCC standings.

Kristen Walters finished with a team-high 8 kills with Jennifer Saltenberger and Kara Young adding 7 kills each.  Julie Pfeifer and Krista Galloway combined for 11 kills with Galloway recording 5 blocks.  Setter Kayleigh Whelchel finished the match with 25 assists while Marie Baumann gathered a team-high 16 digs followed by 7 digs from Young.
