ROCKLIN, Calif. — Kassi Conditt's best career game was not nearly enough Friday as William Jessup University handed Oregon Tech its first loss of the season in the Warriors' own women's basketball tournament.

WJU netted 52 percent of its shots in a 76-62 victory as the Warriors posted their first victory of the season.

Ashley Rose scored 20 points and narrowly missed a double-double effort for the host team with her eight assists.

Conditt, meanwhile, was brilliant for the Hustlin' Owls, who play Simpson at 1 p.m. Saturday on 960 The Sports Legend or online at www.OITsports.com.

A junior from LaPine, Conditt made 8-of-10 field goals and 8-of-10 free throws to score a game high 24 points. She also had a game high 15 rebounds to help OIT to a solid advantage on the backboards in the first of two meetings with WJU this season.

The Warriors play at OIT at 5:30 p.m. Next Friday in the Midland Empire Classic.

While Conditt was 8-of-10 from the floor, the rest of her OIT teammates were a combined 12-for-49 from the floor. Combined, the Hustlin' Owls made 33.9 percent of their field goal tries, and were even worse from three-point range. OIT was 2-of-13 from long range.

Karissa Dixon, who led OIT in scoring in its first two games, finished with 17 points and six rebounds, but struggled shooting like most of her teammates. Maria Ramirez led the Owls with five assists.

In addition to Rose, Sarah Petersen, Taylor Borba and Nicole McDonald also scored in double figures for WJU. Borba led the Warriors with seven rebounds and three steals.
