Head Coach - Angela Stewart
Angela Stewart will begin her third season at the helm of the Oregon Tech volleyball program. Stewart led the 2008 volleyball team to a 22-7 overall mark, while finishing 3rd in the conference standings at 16-4. Stewart led her three-seeded Owls into the Cascade Conference tournament, defeating Corban College in a home playoff in the quarterfinal round and dropping a hard fought five-set affair to Southern Oregon to end the season.
Prior to serving at Oregon Tech, Stewart was the head volleyball coach at Cascade College in Portland for two years (2003 & 2004) and was assistant volleyball coach at Bluefield College in Virginia (2001 & 2002) where she was also an assistant in soccer.
Stewart was a three sport athlete (volleyball, soccer and track) in high school in Kalispell and Columbia Falls, Montana before selecting Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas for her college education where she played volleyball four years and was honorable mention all-conference and a three time scholar All-American. Stewart was a member of the Sterling team that finished with a perfect 18-0 mark in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC), qualifying them for the Great Plains Regional. Three of the years the volleyball team won the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for overall cumulative team GPA (1996, 1997 and 1998). Stewart graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in education and a Bachelor of Arts in graphic arts. Stewart also implemented and designed the new Owl logos for Oregon Tech last year.
Stewart has two daughters, Aubrey, a nine year old and Lindey who is two.
