Oregon Tech Receives Votes in NAIA Poll
12.05.2012
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Oregon Tech women’s basketball team received votes in the NAIA Top-25 second rating of the regular season, announced Monday by the national office.
Following an 8-2 start and a road sweep to open Cascade Conference play that included a 73-65 victory over Corban University last year’s CCC Champions, Oregon Tech has now won 6 straight.
Two CCC teams are ranked in the Top 25 including Eastern Oregon at No. 10 and College of Idaho at No. 22 with Southern Oregon joining OIT in the received vote’s category.
Oregon Tech will be on the road for a pair of non-conference games beginning with a tough match up at undefeated (8-0) Menlo College this Friday beginning at 5:30 PM. Menlo just missed being ranked in the Top 25 coming in at No. 26 in this week’s poll. The Owls will then play at Cal Maritime on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM. Oregon Tech will resume CCC action hosting No. 22 College of Idaho on Friday, December 14th and No. 10 Eastern Oregon on Saturday, December 15th with both games starting at 5:30 pm at Danny Miles Court.
