Prior to Oregon Tech:

Swanson, a 6-0 middle hitter, competed at Hidden Valley High School earning all-conference honors in both volleyball and track and field.  The four-time Skyline District champion in the javelin, was also a two-time all-conference selection in volleyball earning First Team All-Tournament accolades at the 4A State Championship.  Swanson will also compete on the track and field team this spring.

Joelle is the daughter of Jim and Debbie Swanson and will major in pre-medical imaging technology.
