Tech’s Schmidt Named CCC Pitcher of the Week

(La Grande, Ore.) -- Oregon Tech’s Taylor Schmidt has been chosen the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week for Feb 18-24.

Schmidt, a senior from Medford Ore., Led the Lady Owls with three wins this past weekend, including victories over UBC, Holy Names and Simpson. Schmidt improved her season record to 8-0 with a 1.31 ERA.

Schmidt recorded eleven strikeouts for the reigning Adidas Team of the Week Oregon Tech Softball. The Lady Owls are now 14-1 on the season and are ranked at No. 9 in the latest NAIA Top 25. Oregon Tech will head to California this weekend with games at William Jessup University, Menlo and Simpson University.
