Ramirez was named Oregon 4A Player of the Year in 2009 after leading her La Pine High School team to the 4A State Championship where she was named the OSAA State Tournament MVP. Maria is also a three-time first-team All-Sky Em League basketball selection and holds the Oregon 4A career assists record.
