(La Grande, Ore.) Oregon Tech’s Karissa Dixon, a 5-10 junior from Medford, Oregon has been named Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office today, this is the second time in three weeks Dixon has received this honor.
Dixon totaled 37 points, 21 rebounds and 6 assists to help OIT to a weekend sweep over Concordia University and Warner Pacific. Dixon scored 24 points Saturday night leading Tech past Warner Pacific 71-62 as the Owls leap-frogged the Knights into 3rd place in the Cascade Conference standings.
Dixon combined to shoot 14-for-26 (54%) from the field over the weekend including 6-for-14 from long range.
Oregon Tech (1675, 9-4 CCC) will play Southern Oregon (16-8, 6-7 CCC) on Saturday night at 5:30 pm in Ashland, Ore.
