North Medford Standout Signs with Oregon Tech

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- - Oregon Tech Head Women’s Basketball Coach Scott Meredith announced today the signing of Mckensey Peters, a 5-11 forward from North Medford High School in Medford, Oregon.

Peters is averaging a double-double and leads the 6A Southern Oregon Conference with 18.5 points, 12 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game for the Black Tornado and is currently ranked 11th in scoring in the entire state of Oregon (all classes combined). Honors include 2nd team all-conference as a sophomore and 1st team all-conference last year as a junior. Mckensey is a 4year varsity starter; she was voted her team MVP last season, and is team captain this year under head coach Tim Karrick.

“We are very excited to have Mckensey joining our program at Oregon Tech,” said Coach Meredith. “She is an athletic post who is having another tremendous season. Her competitiveness and physical style of play will help ease the transition to the college game and I’m sure our fans will enjoy watching Mckensey become a force in t he Cascade Conference.”

Peters is the daughter of Brad and Jessica Peters of Medford, Oregon. Mckensey will major in radiology next fall at Oregon Tech.
