KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head coach Scott Meredith announced the signing of Nyssa High School standout Katlyn Hashagen.
The 6-1 forward led the Bulldogs to a 23-7 overall mark, including a District Championship in 2014, averaging 13.1 points to go with 7.5 rebounds per game and 75 blocked shots on the year. Hashagen’s stellar senior season resulted in postseason honors, including the 2014 Eastern Oregon League co-player of the Year and a unanimous selection to the 2014 OSAA 3A first team all-tournament squad. Hashagen was a 2012 second team all-conference selection her sophomore season, while being named 2013 EOL Player of the Year, as well as earning First-Team All-State honors as a junior.
The three-sport athlete at NHS has also earned All-State and all-conference honors in both volleyball and softball for the Bulldogs.
Katlyn’s signing was a great day for the Lady Owls,” said Meredith. “She’s had tremendous success in high school and has proven herself as one of the top senior post players in the state. Katlyn’s statistics and accolades speak for themselves and we are really excited about her potential at the collegiate level. Our fans are going to enjoy watching her game develop over the next four years.”
Katlyn is the daughter of Dale and Rachelle Hashagen and plans to major in radiologic science at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
