KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Head coach Greg Stewart announced the signing of local standout, Tara Moates (Klamath Falls, Ore.), for the upcoming 2015 softball season.  Moates completes the 2015 recruiting class for the Hustlin’ Owls.

Moates, currently a senior at Henley High School, earned Skyline first team all-conference honors for the Hornets as a junior, leading HHS to the 2013 State Playoffs.  To conclude the season, Moates was also named to the 2013 First Team All-State squad after batting .512, including 43 hits on the season.  The third baseman went on to record 13 doubles and 11 homeruns, while driving in 41 runs last year.

"Tara is very good hitter and has the ability to step in as freshman and impact our line-up next spring,” mentioned Stewart.  “We are very pleased she decided to stay in the Basin to contribute to our team and receive a great education here at Oregon Tech.”

Tara is the Daughter of Allen Moates and plans on majoring in Biology at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
