The Resource Budget Commission was established in 1997 to meet unique needs within the departments of Oregon Institute of Technology. This Commission desires to provide for the overlooked needs of this campus. Submitted proposals will be considered based on need, ease of implementation, availability of funds and completeness of necessary information.
Any member of Oregon Tech's faculty, staff or student body may submit a proposal to the Resource Budget Commission for funding. The Commission asks that all proposals include the signatures of department chairs to ensure that a given department's submitted proposal is consistent with the priorities of that department. In the event that multiple proposals are submitted from one department, the department chair will rank the proposals according to the department’s priorities.
Proposal Process
Submit printed or electronic proposal application to the Student Affairs Office by the deadline.
Notification
A Commission meeting is held during Fall term. Following the Commission meeting, a letter of decision will be prepared and e-mailed to the author of each proposal. For those whose proposals are approved, instructions for purchasing will be provided.
A list of approved proposals will be provided to the Director of Purchasing/Contracts and the Purchasing Agent in the Oregon Tech Business Office.
