Distance education lets you finish your certificate, associate, bachelor, or master's degree without leaving your home or office and without the hassles of travel, childcare or giving up your current job.
Courses at Oregon Tech are taught through the Internet, allowing you to receive and submit assignments and interact with your instructors and classmates through your personal computer. Most of your "class" time will be spent reading and responding within the online "classroom" environment through focused discussions and email.
Distance education classes are generally taught so you don't even have to be at your computer at a given time. Your instructors will provide a structured learning experience with deadlines to help you keep on track, but will offer you a range of time in which to complete your assignments. Classes run about ten weeks in length, followed by a final exam period.
