The Budget News & Updates website provides up-to-date budget news to the campus community about Oregon's budget situation and its impact on the Oregon University System and Oregon Institute of Technology. The site also communicates Oregon Tech budget updates to the campus community.
Welcome to the first Oregon Tech Budget Update!
We are working hard to smooth out the bumps in transition and create a solid foundation for ourselves from which we can serve you. To that end, we have established some primary goals that we would like to achieve this year:
- Increase the level of communication between the budget office and the campus to ensure that the common concerns of the campus are addressed.
- Identify better, easier to use tools to manage and distribute the budget and provide flexible financial reports to those who manage budgets.
- Develop standard operating procedures for budget planning that will streamline our own internal processes as well as our interactions with other departments to eliminate confusion and simplify the process for everyone.
- Implement workshops to educate departments on the budget planning process and the new budget tools available to aid them.
We will post relevant budget news and updates on a regular basis and we look forward to meeting and working with you throughout the year.
