Assistant Professor - Respiratory Care and Polysomnography

Description

The Respiratory Care Program at Oregon Tech is initiating a search for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor starting September 2013. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Oregon Tech’s faculty salaries are competitive with our comparator institutions.

Primary responsibilities will be organizing and carrying out structured learning processes for students in Respiratory Care. Additional responsibilities include student advising, curriculum development, accreditation and campus and community activities. A successful applicant needs to be able to demonstrate leadership in one of the following areas: clinical practice, neonatal respiratory care, mechanical ventilation, pathology, pharmacology, gas therapeutics, cardiopulmonary diagnostics, education or sleep.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree, Master’s or Doctorate with teaching experience preferred and National Board of Respiratory Care’s (NBRC) registry credential (RRT). A minimum of four years experience working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required. The successful candidate must also hold or obtain a license to practice Respiratory Care in Oregon.
