Oregon Institute of Technology seeks a Maintenance Electrician. This is a full time, 12 month position with benefits. This position is located in the Facilities Services Department.

The purpose of this position is to perform supportive and technical service work that is primarily electrical in nature and includes preventive maintenance, service, repair, remodel and minor construction on campus buildings, equipment and machinery. This position may also perform a wide range of minor plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks in addition to assisting trades working in more complicated jobs. Work also includes welding, fabricating, lock system installation and maintenance. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A valid limited Maintenance Electrician’s License AND
  • 3 years in an industrial setting
  • Work experience that demonstrates a high degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Valid Oregon’s driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years performing a variety of building maintenance functions including repairing and maintaining locksets, doors, door closers and hvac equipment. Welding and fabricating experience using MIG, oxy acetylene and stick. Other activities including minor carpentry, painting and plumbing.
